The sun is starting to peek over the trees and you know what that means. Oh yes, transfer season is very nearly upon us. It's a big summer at virtually every club up and down the SPFL but few are facing overhauls quite like at Rangers, where imminent new owners backed by the San Francisco 49ers and new sporting director Kevin Thelwell look to get things back on the rails. Their first, and biggest, decision will be who sits in the managerial hotseat with Marco Rose the new favourite after a recent surge up the betting. It's not quite as critical across the city at Celtic but the champions will be determined not to stand still after clinching a fourth league title on the spin. That's been the message from Brendan Rodgers anyway who's made it clear he wants to freshen things up. Jimmy Thelin has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in a rollercoaster season at Aberdeen but he's set to get a second summer to put his stamp on things. Hearts meanwhile don't have a permanent manager in place – and are focused on preserving their Premiership status before looking beyond the summer. We understand club hero Steven Pressley is interested in coming in to save the day. Michael Wimmer will get his first summer window at Motherwell while Hibs are set for a rare summer of relative stability under David Gray – but there will be movement with a huge squad at Easter Road.
