Troubled former Penrith Panthers star Taylan May has opened up about a potential return to the NRL as he reveals a new personal venture - running his own Bible studies classes.
May, who had domestic violence charges dropped against him earlier in the year, has taken to Instagram on Wednesday to tell followers about his comeback to the NRL.
'Thanks to everyone for showing love on this music journey,' May posted.
'I just do it for fun and peace of mind but I do wanna play NRL.
'For people wondering when I'll be back, I'll come back when god tells me to come, until then wait patiently.'
The talented 23-year-old has been focusing on his faith while away from footy, revealing he is now running his own Bible studies.

'Anyone wanna join my Bible studies I'll be running it every Thursday 6pm dm for location,' he posted.
'Doesn't matter what religion any religion come.'
The 23-year-old has been cleared by ARL Commission chair Peter V'landys to return to the sport, with the Tigers being rumoured to be interested.
Former teammate Apisai Koroisau has endorsed the possible move.
'He's an incredible player,' said the Tigers skipper.
'He's (had it) pretty hard off the field at the time but it sort of is what it is at the moment and the club will execute that if needed.
'It's hard to come by these kind of guys.
'He works out in the backfield and you need that from your wingers these days and he's that quick - some of that speed you can't teach.
'I'm sure there's a few clubs going for him so we'll see what happens.'

May has been concentrating on his music career while away from rugby league
Last month, May sparked intrigue among fans by hinting at a surprising career pivot away from rugby league and towards music.
The footballer rebranded himself as 'Mayfair' and has been releasing snippets of his tracks via social media.
May's history with the Panthers was turbulent.
Prior to the domestic violence allegations, he was found guilty of assaulting a teenage fan who took a video of him at a post-grand final party in 2021.
Last year he was reprimanded for posting footage of himself in a speeding car.
The incident attracted scrutiny from the NRL Integrity Unit and Penrith management, leading May to temporarily delete his social media accounts.
'I was in the car, but I wasn't driving – I can't say who was driving,' May said in response to the speeding incident.
He later expressed regret over the attention the incident attracted due to his profile.
May played 30 games with the Panthers and contributed to their 2022 grand final victory, and also represented Samoa in 2022.
