The Serevi Academy of Rugby received a Toyota twin came 4wd from Asco Motors in Suva yesterday.
Academy founder and sevens maestro Waisale Serevi said the ve-hicle was a major boost in develop-ing rugby in communities.
The Qarani, Gau, Lomaiviti man is a strong advocate against drug abuse. He believes that rugby is a tool that would engage youth to steer them in the right path.
Serevi has been in the country for a few months setting up his acad-emy after spending 15 years in the United States of America.
“This vehicle contribution is more than a donation; it is a tangible ex-pression of kindness that uplifts our community and transforming lives,” he said.
“Your support will further allow us to nurture young minds and foster an environment where hope, learning, love, courage and good citizenship are identified, nur-tured, developed and multiplied for the good of our nation.”
Serevi hopes and believes the alumni of the academy would be-come good ambassadors of Fiji in showcasing their God-given talents in rugby.
“As we look forward to the future, may this collaboration continue to be a beacon of hope and inspira-tion. Let our actions speak of grati-tude and our efforts to serve with humility and joy.”
Asco Motors chief executive offic-er Ronald Kumar said the academy is making a meaningful impact and they were honoured to contribute to its mission.
“Asco Motors believes in driving progress – both on the road and in our communities.
“Through this sponsorship, we are proud to support an initiative that not only nurtures sporting tal-ent but also instills crucial life les-sons,” he said.
