Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend, Jade Jones, had a sweet moment after Indiana rallied to beat the Knicks 138-135 in overtime to steal Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday night. Jones ran down from the stands and jumped into Haliburton’s arms on the court at Madison Square Garden in New York, as seen in a video on her Instagram Story. “My baby,” she wrote, including a yellow heart emoji. Jones re-shared the clip of Haliburton’s long jumper that bounced high off the back of the rim and in to tie the game at 125-125 as time expired in regulation. The Pacers rolled in overtime to seal the win. “WWWWWWW,” she added over a snapshot Haliburton celebrating his big bucket with his teammates. The two-time All-Star made a choke gesture in the direction of the crowd, mimicking Hall of Famer Reggie Miller, who taunted the Knicks during the 1994 Eastern Conference playoffs. Jones has supported Haliburton through his entire NBA career after the Kings selected him in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The blonde beauty even traveled to Paris for the Summer Olympics in 2024 to see Haliburton represent Team USA. The couple began dating while they were students at Iowa State, where Haliburton played college basketball and Jones was a cheerleader. Haliburton and Jones celebrated six years together in April. Earlier this week, Haliburton joked that “maybe it’s a good thing that my dad [John Haliburton] won’t be able to go,” while speaking to reporters about the Eastern Conference finals matchup with the Knicks. His dad, John, hasn’t attended a Pacers game since he stormed the court and argued with Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo after Game 5 of the Pacers-Bucks first-round series. The Pacers met with John after Game 5 and said he would not be attending the team’s games for the foreseeable future. He later issued a public apology to the organization and Antetokounmpo. Tensions are heightened as this is a rematch of last year’s semifinals series, one the Pacers ultimately won in seven games. Haliburton, before the series started, said he was looking forward to adding to the historic Knicks-Pacers rivalry. “But now they don’t really like us too much. So it’s all fun with it, man, and like I said, excited to add more chapters to this storied rivalry and just continue to be a part of it,” Haliburton said. “I look forward to playing in that building, and I look forward to the crowd environment. It’s a good thing.” Game 2 is set for Friday night in New York.
