THE UK Government has invited Israel's foreign minister for a secret visit, according to reports.
Gideon Saar is set to visit the UK this week, the Middle East Eye reports - although his trip will be unannounced before his arrival.
Saar was originally meant to visit the UK in March but this was postponed when Israel renewed its assault on Gaza, breaking the tense ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Saar recently attempted to justify Israel's decision to cut off aid to Gaza, claiming without evidence that humanitarian assistance aids Hamas despite it being considered an act of collective punishment under international law.
A key player in Benjamin Netanyahu's government, Saar is strongly opposed to a two-state solution and has previously said that "creating a Palestinian state today would be tantamount to creating a Hamas state".
His visit comes amid increased tensions between the Israeli and UK governments after two Labour MPs were blocked from entering the occupied West Bank as part of a parliamentary delegation.
Abtisam Mohamed and Yuan Yang were denied entry on the grounds that they intended to "spread hate speech" against Israel and "document the security forces".
At the time, Foreign Secretary David Lammy (below) said the move was "unacceptable, counterproductive and deeply concerning".
(Image: PA) Campaigner Gary Spedding told The National that the UK Government's decision to welcome Saar demonstrated it was "complicit in Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people"
Spedding said: "This visit by Israeli foreign minister, Gideon Saar, comes at a time when Israel has resumed its wanton slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza.

"This is an Israeli government minister who is on record justifying Israel's cutting off of all humanitarian aid into Gaza.
"He should not be welcome in the United Kingdom. This visit is particularly egregious and offensive after the recent refused entry of two British MPs into Israel and also that it is occurring during the spring recess of Parliament, which means no politicians can ask questions to the government about the purpose or outcomes of the visit itself.
"Our government is deeply and willingly complicit in Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people - this is yet more proof of that fact."
The Foreign Office has been contacted for comment.
