'UK's worst teen driver' jailed AGAIN after crashing car trying to escape cops

A boy racer dubbed 'Britain’s worst teen driver' has been jailed for a second time after crashing a car into a wall while trying to escape the police.
Aged just 19, Haseeb Aziz has never held a driving licence, but has already been disqualified from driving seven times. He had just got out of jail when he took to the roads in Blackburn, Lancashire, and he was spotted driving a Renault Clio by an eagle-eyed cop in the early hours of the morning. Blackburn Magistrates’ Court heard the young driver turned in to an alleyway and jumped out of the moving car, crashing it into a wall in an effort to get away.
Aziz pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and was jailed for 16 weeks and disqualified from driving for 18 months, to be served at the end of an existing four-year ban. He was also banned until passing an extended re-test following a conviction for dangerous driving in 2022. Glenn Anderton, prosecuting, said a police dog handler on mobile patrol decided to carry out a routine check after seeing a Renault Clio with a lone male onboard drive past in the early hours.
He said: "The Clio eventually turned into an alleyway and the driver decamped while the vehicle was still moving. The car collided with a wall and the defendant ran off.” He said the officer, with the assistance of his dog, detained Aziz nearby. "This is his seventh conviction for disqualified driving and he has never held a licence,” Mr Anderton added.
Defending, Daniel Frazer said his client was only 19 and it was clear that at some stage he had to stop behaving the way he was. He said: “The last two sentences have been custodial and that doesn’t seem to be working. I asked him why he was driving and he couldn’t give a satisfactory answer.”
In December, Aziz was jailed for 22 weeks following a raft of driving offences. Over several months last year, the teen was caught driving a stolen motorbike, an Audi with the wrong plates, a Volkswagen Polo, and a Volkswagen Golf. Then, defence lawyers said driving ‘gave him a buzz’ and helped the then-18 year old ‘forget about his personal issues’. Jailing him last year, District Judge Preston said: "You have an absolutely appalling record for someone who is only 18 years old. All the offences committed this year where while you were subject to a community order imposed for similar offences.”
