UN: Israel's Targeting of Journalists 'Grave Breach of International Humanitarian Law'

Geneva, August 11 (QNA) - The United Nations Human Rights Office in Geneva has condemned the killing by Israeli military of six Palestinian journalists in Gaza, in grave breach of international humanitarian law.
The office said in a post on the X platform website: "Israel must respect and protect all civilians in the Gaza Strip, including journalists."
The United Nations Human Rights Office added: "We condemn the killing by Israeli military of 6 Palestinian journalists by targeting their tent, in grave breach of international humanitarian law."
The UN Human Rights Office called for immediate, safe, and unhindered access for all journalists to Gaza.
The number of journalists killed has risen to 238 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, according to the government media office in the Strip. (QNA)
