New York, June 28 (QNA) - The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights voiced deep concern over the escalating colonist violence targeting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, stressing that these attacks are not isolated incidents.
In a press briefing on Saturday, Spokesperson for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Thameen Al-Kheetan stated that these attacks are not isolated incidents, adding that dozens of armed colonists carried out coordinated attacks on June 25 targeting several villages in the Ramallah and Nablus areas, and they set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles and fired live ammunition at residents.
He added that three Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces, while at least six others were injured by gunfire during one of the attacks, on the village of Kafr Malik near Ramallah.
He noted that reports compiled by the Office since October 7, 2023, indicate that Israeli settlers have killed 14 Palestinians in the West Bank, including two children. (QNA)
