Videos: Island Games Day Four Wrap-Up [Written by Stephen Wright] Sienna Mosquera said it will be “amazing” to win a medal for Bermuda at the International Island Games in Orkney. The 18-year-old is in third place after shooting an eight-over par 78 in the third round of the women’s competition at Orkney Golf Club today [July 16]. Mosquera returns to Stromness Golf Club, where she broke the women’s course record yesterday, for the final round tomorrow with her sights set on a podium finish. She is one stroke behind second-place Sophie Beardsall, of the Isle of Wight, and two shots adrift of leader Emma Lindman, of Aland. “Right now, [Stromness] is my favourite course!” Mosquera told Bernews. “I had a lot of fun playing there yesterday. “I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play there again.” Reflecting on today’s third round, she said: “I had a few difficult holes, but that always happens. “I’m glad I played better [at this course] than Monday. That was the goal today – I’m happy about that.” Mosquera, who is competing at her first Island Games, added: “It would mean a lot to win a medal for Bermuda. “It’s an amazing event and would be amazing to win a medal, individually and as a team.” Bermuda golfer Sienna Mosquera sinks a terrific putt on hole 12 during the third round of the women's competition at Orkney Golf Club at the Island Games pic.twitter.com/fh81sQKYzs — BernewsSports (@BernewsSports) July 16, 2025 Bermuda women’s golf team – Mosquera, Tracy Burgess, Katrin Burnie and Morgan Lightbourne – are fourth in the team event.
