Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam City Police have apprehended two key accomplices involved in an online cricket betting racket that has allegedly defrauded numerous victims of lakhs of rupees.The Cyber Crime Police unit arrested Gandi Ganesh and Pally Ramakrishna alias Harish from Vizianagaram district. Both suspects had been evading authorities after the arrest of the primary accused in the case.During the operation, police officials seized two smartphones from the suspects. Forensic examination of the devices revealed evidence of their involvement in illegal betting activities, according to police reports.The accused have been identified as Gandi Ganesh and Pally Ramakrishna alias Harish, both residents of Vizianagaram. Following their arrest, the suspects were remanded to custody as the investigation continues.Citizens who encounter such scams are encouraged to report them immediately through the Cybercrime reporting portal at www.cybercrime.gov.in or by calling the toll-free number 1930.
