India batter Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife Puja Pabari’s latest Instagram post has left his fans super excited. The veteran batter is currently focused on making a comeback to India’s Test team. He actively played domestic cricket in 2024, representing Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. He is now gearing up for India’s upcoming Tour of England, scheduled for June later this year. Amid preparations, Pujara’s wife sparked the interest of several Indian cricket fans on Instagram. Posting a picture of the Indian cricketer and herself, she wrote, “The wait is almost over… Stay tuned for something exciting coming up!” The photograph captured Cheteshwar Pujara in the traditional Test whites; he had a cricket bat in his right hand. The 37-year-old smiled in the heart-warming snapshot, meeting his wife’s gaze as they posed together. Puja Pabari was rocking some casual threads, which included a black top and a pair of light blue denim jeans. Earlier this year, the Indian veteran expressed his wish to represent the national team in England for the five-match Test series. Speaking to Revsportz, the 37-year-old stated he would be ready to play if the team needed him. “As a cricketer, you always want to play for the Indian team. And I am doing whatever I can to achieve that success. If the team needs me, I’m ready,” he said. Cheteshwar Pujara added he was open to opportunities to help himself earn a place in the senior team. “I’ve been playing domestic cricket. I’ve been playing county cricket for the last couple of years,” he said. “I’ve been scoring heavily in the domestic circuit. So if given an opportunity, yes, I’ll be more than ready to grab it with both hands,” Pujara concluded. The 2023 World Test Championship final was Cheteshwar Pujara’s last appearance for India. The red-ball cricket veteran failed to make a significant impact in the final as the Rohit Sharma-led side lost to Australia by 209 runs. Pujara scored a mere 41 runs across both innings.
