Wallabies give Nic White farewell start, recall Tupou for Lions finale

Halfback Nic White will get the ultimate international farewell after being named to start for the Wallabies in Saturday’s third and final Test against the British and Irish Lions in Sydney.
On Thursday, White announced he would retire from international rugby after Saturday’s Test, having played 72 Tests for the Wallabies since making his debut against Argentina in 2013. White will play for the Force in Super Rugby AUS in September, before hanging up his boots for good.
Schmidt has recalled tighthead prop Taniela Tupou to the starting line-up after Allan Alaalatoa sustained a shoulder injury in the second Test that is likely to rule him out of the Rugby Championship.
Tupou endured a disappointing season at the Waratahs, but impressed selectors starting for the First Nations and Pasifika team last Tuesday in Melbourne.
