WATCH: Aniket Verma steals the show with his big hitting during his cameo knock of 36 runs

Match number seven of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 seasons saw hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Rishabh Pant and his side bowled well as Shardul Thakur took four wickets to complete a century of wickets in the league. Young batter Aniket Verma stole the show with the bat as he smashed 36 runs off just 13 balls with five huge sixes. The young batter hit his second ball for a six to show his confidence and talents with the bat. In the 15th over, Verma hit Bishnoi for successive sixes to move to 24 runs off just nine balls. The next 12 runs came in the form of sixes as Verma hit Digvesh Rathi for successive maximums. Just as the young batter was looking set to score his maiden fifty in the IPL, Rathi had him caught by David Miller in the final ball of the 16th over. Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets from their 20 overs. Shardul Thakur helps LSG keep Hyderabad under 200 Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan fell in successive balls to Shardul Thakur to leave the hosts at 15 for two in the third over. Travis Head didn"t let the loss of wickets at the other end bother him as he smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. Pooran gave Head a huge lease of life when he dropped an easy catch off Ravi Bishnoi. Prince Yadav then flattened Head"s stumps before playing a huge part in the run out of Klaasen. Pat Cummins hit three successive sixes before falling to Avesh Khan while attempting a fourth huge hit. In the end, SRH managed to score 190 on the board with Thakur picking 4/34 from his four overs. The 33-year-old also recorded his 100th IPL wicket when he got the wicket of Mohammed Shami for one run. Speaking to the broadcasters at the mid innings break, Thakur said, “You have good and bad days, you have to go through it in cricket. IT's always good to be in the scoresheet but winning the game is important to me. I keep doing something or the other. I don't look much at the wickets column or runs column, I just want to put in match-winning performances.”
