The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared some interesting behind-the-scenes footage of the ongoing Intra-Squad game in England, which will precede the five-Test Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy. In a video uploaded on the board’s social media channel, the India and India ‘A’ performance analysts Hari Prasad Mohan and Pushkar Sawant showed how they set up the logistics and collected live feed for the game.
The four-day game is being held behind closed doors in Beckenham. According to reports, India is not broadcasting or sharing detailed information (like batting order, bowling partnerships) about the game to keep their tactics and plans under wraps. However, the video data from the match is still important for players to observe their game and for support staff working on specific things.

“This is not a televised game, so we have to set up the cameras for the data collection side of things on our own,” Prasad said in the video. “So that’s what we’re gonna do now… Basically it’s a four-day game where we would try to simulate a few things in terms of, you know, the batters and the bowlers, if they have to achieve something. And also the sports science team would like to know their bowlers’ workload… You can replicate the vision, the frame that you see during live games,” he added.
The feed room was set up in a small white house near the sight screen, which Prasad labeled as the ‘safe house’.
“The moment I walked into the ground, I found this house which was right of the sight screen. With regard to that, there will be a lot of conversations that happen in the safe house over there. Yes, this will be a cute little office for the next 4 days. We have checked their feed, and everything looks perfect. The camera is set, the feed is perfect, it’s been shared to all the stakeholders, the coaches are happy and now, Bumrah is having a red cherry in his hand. Let’s go and enjoy,” he added.
This is the last bit of preparation for the team — most of whom have come straight from the IPL — before the high-octane Tests kick off on June 20.
