Watch: Ben Stokes Slams His Bat In Frustration After Getting Out For 20
@Source: news18.com
England Test captain Ben Stokes was batting on 20 runs from 51 balls when Mohammed Siraj dismissed him to help India reduce England to 276/5 in the first innings of the ongoing first Test at Headingley in Leeds. The ball bowled by Siraj kissed the edge of Stokes’ bat and travelled straight to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who made no mistake.
After getting out for 20 runs from 51 balls in the morning session of the third day’s play, Stokes lost his cool and was seen slamming his batting frustration while on his way back to the pavilion.
The clip of Stokes’ reaction post his dismissal was shared by fans on X, and within no time the video went viral on the internet.

Stokes was the second English batter to get out in the first session of the third day’s play at Headingley. Before him, on the first ball of the 52nd over, Prasidh Krishna picked up Ollie Pope’s wicket. The right-handed batter was also caught by Pant after making 106 runs from 137 balls.
By taking Pope’s catch, Pant completed 150 catches in Test cricket for India as wicketkeeper. Only MS Dhoni and Syed Kirmani have completed more catches than him as a stumper in the five-day format of the game for Team India.
