Watch: CBS begins 'Selection Sunday' with touching Greg Gumbel tribute
@Source: yardbarker.com
Gumbel died in December at 78 following a battle with cancer. He was best known for being the CBS studio host for March Madness. Gumbel was also a play-by-play announcer for NFL games with the network at two different points during his legendary career. He held other roles covering Major League Baseball, college basketball, college baseball and the Olympics.
Fans missed Gumbel when he was absent from last year's NCAA Tournament coverage, and that will be the case again this year. CBS will likely pay tribute to Gumbel on more than one occasion during March Madness, and deservedly so.
