The Dolphins welcomed Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore back to Earth as the duo splashed down off the Florida coast aboard SpaceX Dragon Freedom spacecraft on Wednesday. The Dragon splashed down at 3.27 am IST today, and as it arrived ferrying the stuck astronauts from the International Space Station, dolphins swam beside the spacecraft, as if welcoming them back to Earth. All the astronauts were recovered from the spacecraft aboard a recovery vessel. They were helped out by the officials to set their foot on Earth as they arrived from a microgravity space to Earth which has greater gravity. Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore were also assisted walk out of the Dragon. They will now be moved to Houston where they will complete a 45-day rehabilitation programme.
