Mumbai Indians men’s and women’s team captains Hardik Pandya and Harmanpreet Kaur shared a special moment after the WPL 2025 Eliminator. The 2023 winners stormed into their second final of the T20 franchise tournament on Thursday, March 13. The Harmanpreet-led side secured a 47-run win over the Gujarat Giants at the Brabourne Stadium to book their spot in the ultimate game. While the celebration was in full swing, Hardik and Harmanpreet came together to share smiles and congratulations post-match. The official account of Mumbai Indians have now shared the video of the sudden meet-up on X (formerly Twitter). “Our favourite BTS clip,” they wrote. The men’s all-rounder is set to lead Mumbai in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League for the second time. A crucial member of India’s Champions Trophy winning squad in Dubai, Pandya ensured he was in Mumbai to witness the high-stakes WPL clash. Hardik also interacted with Gujarat Giants’ medium pacer Kashvee Gautam on the same day. The 21-year-old bowler approached the star all-rounder after the match, revealing she was a big fan of his. While Hardik enquired Kashvee about her season, the young pacer’s teammate disclosed that she always tried to imitate him on the field. The 31-year-old men’s cricketer curiously asked if she also batted regularly, to which her teammate, Harleen Deol, said that Kashvee had ‘HP33’ (Hardik Pandya’s initials) inscribed on her bat. The revelation saw Hardik high-five the Gujarat Giants bowler before claiming he would send her a bat. The interaction left Kashvee gushing as she walked back to her teammates. The official account of Gujarat Giants shared the video on X and wrote, “Brb watching KG’s fan moment on loop.” Brb, watching KG’s fan moment on loop 🤌#MIvGG #TATAWPL2025 #GujaratGiants #BringItOn #Adani pic.twitter.com/V741KnRVHF — Gujarat Giants (@Giant_Cricket) March 14, 2025 Mumbai Indians are now locked in for another WPL final, courtesy of a star performance from Hayley Matthews. The Barbadian all-rounder scalped three wickets and scored 77 runs in the Eliminator to win the Player of the Match award. The 2023 Champions will now face three-time finalists Delhi Capitals on Saturday, March 15. A victory will make them the only team to win the WPL twice.
