Mahendra Singh Dhoni produced a moment of magic as he under-armed a run out without even looking at the stumps during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash betweenm Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday. MS Dhoni hit the non-striker’s end with a direct throw to dismiss Abdul Samad as he and Rishabh Pant tried to go for a bye run. Dhoni cleverly underarmed a throw over Samad’s head, who did not even know no idea that he was in ganger. The ball hit the stumps with Samad well short of his crease as he had to continue his run back to the dugout. But with pace back into the attack in the form of Pathirana in the 18th over, Pant took his chances as he smashed the Sri Lankan for two sixes — the second one a one-handed pull over square-leg to bring up his fifty.
