Zimbabwe Olympian Paige van der Westhuizen has shared the challenges athletes go through to qualify for the games. She was part of the games in Paris in 2024. van der Westhuizen was speaking after the inaugural Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) Golf Day held at Chapman Golf Club in Harare last week. She shares the different situations athletes find themselves in as they try to realis ethe Olympic dream for themselves and the country. At the same event, ZOC announced that it would be providing a monthly fund for athletes as they build up to the games.
