Not one but Swastik Chikara passed two bottles of water to fans and this act won fans over. On the field of play, RCB were chasing 163 to win and had lost their first three wickets from 26 runs. The 119-run stand between Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli sealed the game in RCB"s favor. Pandya was not out on 73 and this was his first fifty for over nine years. Virat Kohli scored 51 runs to become the top run-getter of IPL 2025 season and claimed the orange cap. "We were 10-15 runs short" – Axar Patel after loss to RCB Delhi Capitals were asked to bat first by RCB skipper Rajat Patidar on Sunday night. The best batter for the home team was KL Rahul with 41 while Tristan Stubbs scored 34 with the bat to give Delhi the much needed push in the backend of the innings to reach 162 runs. DC skipper Axar Patel lamented that his side were 10-15 runs short while batting. Patel speaking to the host broadcasters at the end of the game said, “I feel that we were 10-15 runs short. I thought in the first innings, the wicket was a bit tough but due to dew, it eased out in the second innings. We missed a few catches, we need to take those catches. Intent was the same but the wicket was two-paced but after dew came in it became easier, we don"t think we could have done anything different.” Winning captain Rajat Patidar said, “It was a total team performance. The way the bowlers exeucted their plans, was nice to see. As I said earlier, we are not a team who are looking at the venues. We are looking to play good cricket. Chasing gives a lot of clarity about the wicket, the bowling and the score and we could plan accordingly. It was a gettable target. The bowlers did a great job.”
