What time and TV channel is Munster v Ulster tonight in the United Rugby Championship? Stream info, team news, betting odds and more
@Source: belfastlive.co.uk
Ulster are approaching last chance saloon territory as they travel to Limerick for a huge interprovincial derby on Friday night.
Munster and Ireland hero Peter O'Mahony has described this encounter as a "spicy derby" as the ninth and 12th placed teams in the URC face off, knowing only the top eight go through to the season ending play-off stages.
A loss for either team tonight won't mathematically end their hopes of a URC play-off berth - and the Champions Cup qualification that comes with it, but their chances will be all but up.
Ulster must travel to 10th-placed Edinburgh next week while Munster host eighth-placed Benetton in Cork next Friday in their final regular season game.
Where is the game?
The match will be played at Thomond Park, Limerick
What time is kick-off?
The match kicks off at 7.35pm on Friday
What TV channel is it on?
It will be shown live on RTÉ 2 from (7pm) and Premier Sports 1 (from 7pm), and will be streamed live on URC.tv
Betting odds
Munster to win 2/7, Ulster to win 11/4, the draw is 19/1
Munster often thrive on emotion and among the five players returning to the side, Peter O'Mahony and three-time centurion Stephen Archer will be playing in their final game at Thomond Park. Conor Murray, who is on the bench, is in the same position.
"For the three lads to be involved for the weekend, try and give them what they deserve in what could be potentially their last game (at Thomond) is a big bonus, to play in front of our home crowd," said Prendergast. I’m sure the people of Limerick, Cork and all round the province will get in behind the team and the players who are finishing up.”
Ulster welcome back Iain Henderson, Rob Baloucoune and Michael Lowry and head coach Richie Murphy's message is to not panic. "I don't want a situation where the players are feeling desperate," said Murphy. "Yes, we're all desperate to win but we don't want to play like that.
"We want to play for each other and play the brand of rugby that we have over the last number of weeks. We just need to turn some performances into results."
