That was her first game without a goal this season, and only the fourth game over the past three seasons. Ward followed it up with two goals and five assists in Syracuse’s 18-6 win over the Golden Bears Saturday. Ward’s 38 assists are the 10th-most in the country this season. Sophomore Ashlee Volpe led the way in scoring against Yale, netting a career-high four goals. Volpe has seven goals on the season, four of which came against the Bulldogs. Fellow underclassman Caroline Trinkaus scored a game-high four goals against Cal. The freshman is up to 27 goals this season, the second-most on the team.
