What TV channel is Glasgow Warrior vs Munster on? FREE stream, kick-off time and odds for URC clash
@Source: thesun.ie
MUNSTER are in Scotland's largest city this evening as the URC returns to our screens.
Post-Six Nations, the two clubs will be fielding weakened teams as international players are given an extra week off from their provinces.
Last time out, a dire first half was largely to blame as Munster fell to a 34-28 defeat in Cork against Edinburgh.
Here's everything you need to know as they aim to fare better this time around against Scottish opposition:
What TV channel is Glasgow Warriors vs Munster on?
Tonight's match will be shown on TG4 and Premier Sports 1. So you have the free streaming option provided by the TG4 Player.
Kick-off from Scotsoun Stadium will be at 7.35pm.
What are the odds?
The home side are 2/7 favourites while Munster are out at 3/1.
The handicap is set at +/- eight points while a draw is available at 20/1.
Wood family subplot:
Gordon Wood is set to become a third-generation Munster rugby player in Glasgow this evening.
The academy centre’s father Keith is an Ireland and Munster legend and his grandfather, also Gordon, lined out for the Reds.
The promising 20-year-old is tipped to follow in their boots when the URC champions of the past two seasons battle it out in Scotstoun this evening.
Although Wood will start the clash on the bench, he is expected to feature, with both sides fielding under-strength sides due to injuries and players recovering from the Six Nations.
Speaking of the Six Nations, Keith's other son Tom featured in this year's Under 20s competition so they are more than a chip off the old block/tree.
Getting back to tonight's affair, Munster have made nine changes from the side turned over by Edinburgh in Musgrave Park.
The pack was bullied and interim coach Ian Costello will need to get that area sorted out if they are to prevent a second successive loss to Scottish opposition.
Hooker Diarmuid Barron returns to the starting XV and skippers the side.
Tony Butler and Paddy Patterson will form a new half-back partnership, while Seán O’Brien comes in on the right wing.
Stephen Archer joins Barron and Jeremy Loughman in a new front row and Alex Kendellen and Gavin Coombes come into the back row.
Wing Andrew Smith will make his debut in a backline which sees academy player Ben O’Connor at full-back.
Skibbereen man Coombes said: “We know that we didn’t get things right against Edinburgh, we probably didn’t show up in the first half.
“Rectifying that is a huge aspect we want to get right this week.”
