What TV channel is The Masters on? Stream, tee times & odds as Rory McIlroy & Shane Lowry lead Irish charge
@Source: thesun.ie
THE most prestigious tournament in golf tees off this afternoon as Masters has arrived once again. As ever, Rory McIlroy's eternal quest to complete the career Grand Slam has dominated much of the build-up in Ireland and beyond. But Shane Lowry might wind up being the best bet for an Irish winner. After all, his fine form across 2025 so far has seen him rise to a career-high 12th in the world rankings. Lowry has been given a 24/1 chance by oddsmakers to end up being the lucky one who gets to throw on the Green Jacket when the final round finishes up on Sunday. Here's everything you need to know ahead of Thursday's big tee-off: What Irish TV channel is The Masters on? As usual all four days will be shown virtually from start to finish on Sky Sports Golf/Sky Sports Main Event from 2 pm until midnight. So only subscribers with the British giant will be able to stream the action around Augusta National via the Sky Go platform. There is of course the free option provided by The Masters app which you can download here. It doesn't allow you to watch the action but it is the next best thing as you can monitor every shot over the four days as it unfolds. What are the odds? What are Lowry and McIlroy's tee times? The Down ace will be out at 6:12 pm Irish time while Lowry will be out roughly 10 minutes later. McIlroy will be playing alongside rising Swedish star Ludvig Aberg and American Akshay Bhatia. Lowry is partnered up for the first two days with 2021 winner Hideki Matsuyama and two-time US Open king Bryson Dechambeau. What's been said in the build-up? After yesterday's traditional Par Three curtain-raiser, McIlroy revealed he's turned to hypnosis to banish the “scar tissue” of previous Masters failures. He says he now has the mentality to conquer Augusta and complete golf’s Grand Slam. The Holywood hotshot, 35, said: “Scar tissue is real and I believe in trying everything to help deal with it. That is why I tried hypnosis a year or so ago. “People accumulate more scar tissue at Augusta because you go back there every year. “You remember the shots, you remember the place you were.” McIlroy also conceded the memory of his infamous 2011 meltdown, when a final-round 80 on the famous course saw him blow a four-shot lead, had haunted him. He acknowledged: “If we didn’t go back there every year, what happened to me in 2011 wouldn’t have become such a big deal. “Last year I was put in hypnotic states to see if it helped. I felt really good straight after the hypnosis. “But I don’t think it helped a ton. I’ve figured out the way I need to think and way I need to process things to do well on the course.”
