Nearly 15 years since the first series hit our screens, Love/Hate still remains one of the biggest Irish shows ever made.
It launched the careers of Robert Sheehan and Ruth Negga as well as Barry Keoghan who has gone on to make his mark in Hollywood and around the world.
Now that the gripping drama series is tipped to be making a comeback (or is it?), we're taking a walk down memory lane and asking where are the cast now?
Tom Vaughan-Lawlor - Nidge Delaney
Since starring in Love/Hate, Tom's career has really soared. He's gone on to star in Peaky Blinders, Charlie and Dublin Murders on the small screen.
As for films, he starred in Avengers: Endgame, and Avengers: Infinity War. He also got to work with Bill Nighy in The Beautiful Game and gave a powerful performance in Baltimore. In 2024 it was announced that Tom had joined Michael Fassbender in the cast of the new spy thriller, The Agency.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, the actor still says despite all his other roles, he still gets called Nidge while walking down the street.
Looking back, he said the show was: ' A very wonderful time and I'm very grateful for it. And I still have great friends from that time.'
Tom now lives in Kent with his wife Claire and their two children.
Speaking about his career he said: 'I've been an actor for 20 years, the process of acting and finding a character is still as fascinating to me as it always has been because it's a mystery.'
Killian Scott - Tommy Daly
Killian's also been pretty busy since the RTÉ series wrapped and in 2017 he landed the main part in Damnation, a US Depression-era period drama that made it to Netflix but was cancelled after just one season.
People then came to love his character in the short drama Dublin Murders starring alongside Sarah Greene, and filmwise, he's appeared in Good Vibrations, Calvary, '71, Trespass Against Us, and The Commuter.
Killian has also worked alongside 'extraordinary' co-star Samuel L Jackson in the Marvel series Secret Invasion, which was released on Disney+ in the summer of 2023. He played Pagon - a member of the Marvel Universe alien Skrull race, for the uninitiated - in the six-part miniseries.
More recently Killian was in the cast of Netflix's Kaos, a comedic take on Greek mythology which also starred Jeff Goldblum.
As for his personal life, Killian keeps things private and doesn't have an Instagram or Twitter but you will still find plenty of fan pages dedicated to Tommy.
Robert Sheehan - Darren Treacy
He was one of the most loved characters in the series and like his fellow actors, he too went on to have a glistening career, one that continues to progress.
When it comes to acting he gained international fame for his role as Klaus Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy which released its fourth season in 2023.
Robert has also had roles such as Nathan in Misfits, Tom Natsworthy in Mortal Engines and Simon Lewis in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
The Laois man is not only a talented actor but an author too. In 2021 he published his first book called Disappearing Act and Playing Dead followed in 2024.
As for love, Robert dated actress Sofia Boutella from 2014 to 2018. It is believed they broke up as a long-distance relationship wasn't working for them. In a 2024 interview with The Guardian, Robert said he was visiting his Canadian 'missus' although not much else is known about the relationship.
Ruth Negga - Rosie Moynihan
Rosie was another character who deserved so much more. But don't worry Ruth is doing just fine for herself.
She's since appeared in films like Loving and Ad Astra as well as starring in Preacher and Agents of SHIELD across the pond.
For her portrayal of Mildred Loving in Loving, she was nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award, an Independent Spirit Award, a Critics' Choice Movie Award.
In September 2021, it was announced that Ruth would be making her Broadway debut in a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth as Lady Macbeth.
She also appeared in Netflix's black and white flick Passing, for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress. She won an IFTA for Best Actress and was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
Ruth is also nominated at the 2025 IFTAs in the Supporting Actress in a Drama category for her role in Presumed Innocent.
John Connors - Patrick Ward

After playing Patrick in Love/Hate, John has worked on shows including Cardboard Gangsters, Charlie, and The Gentlemen.
He's also the actor who got people talking about Love/Hate's return when he appeared on the Six O'Clock Show in 2025 and declared it was making a return.
RTÉ later came out and said they weren't involved with a reboot and John responded to say it was going to be a Netflix project... although the streamer hasn't confirmed if that's so.
Aoibhinn McGinnity - Trish Delaney
She played Nidge's long-suffering wife in the series and how she put up with him, no one knows
But outside of the show, she has starred in several projects including RTÉ's Resistance and Rebellion.
In the States, she's appeared in Krypton and Nightflyers.
In recent years Aoibhinn has swapped her gangster life for one of piety as young sister Eileen in the BBC production of The Woman in the Wall.
Charlie Murphy - Siobhán Delaney
Love her or hate her, Siobhán made it to the end... almost.
Since Love/Hate ended she has been kept busy with film and TV roles including Ripper Street, '71, Happy Valley, Rebellion and of course Peaky Blinders.
She was announced as one of the main characters in the live-action Halo series.
Over the course of her career, she has won four IFTAs for Love/Hate, Happy Valley, and Peaky Blinders.
In 2023 she starred in Obsession as Anna. A film about an affair that sends a man wild and threatens his marriage and career, it really allows us to see the talent that Charlie possesses.
Aidan Gillen - John Boy Power
Were you happy or upset when John Boy got his comeuppance? Well, regardless Aidan Gillen hasn't left our screens since. Most notably, he appeared in Game of Thrones as the scheming character Littlefinger.
He has also appeared in Peaky Blinders and seemingly reprised his role during his turn in RTÉ's latest crime family drama, Kin alongside Charlie Cox and Clare Dunne. On the silver screen, he's been in franchises like The Dark Knight and The Maze Runner.
And who could forget him in the cult classic Sing Street!
When it comes to his love life with Camille O'Sullivan the pair have been together for more than ten years.
Chatting to the Sunday Independent the star said: 'She's been an inspiration. She's great fun. It was like finding someone who was like me but not totally like me. We understand each other but there are mysteries, too, that you want to unpick.'
He has a daughter, Berry, and a son Joe with fellow actor Olivia O'Flanagan.
Peter Coonan - Fran Cooney
Fran definitely was a divisive character in the series when he arrived in season two. Since the series ended, he, of course, made an appearance in Dublin Murders.
Really rounding out the Love/Hate reunion there. He's also appeared in several Irish films and indie flicks on both sides of the pond.
He went on to appear in Peaky Blinders, Bad Sisters and King Frankie. The Dublin man is also no stranger to theatre appearing in Brendan Behan's The Borstal Boy in 2014.
He has two daughters Beth and Katie with partner Kim O'Driscoll.
Barry Keoghan - Wayne
Barry became known as the kid that shot the cat in Love/Hate in a scene that made headlines around the country. While he only had a small role in Love/Hate, he's doing rather well for himself since.
He's appeared in films like Dunkirk and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, for which he won an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Supporting Actor.
He has also joined the biggest franchise in the world, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in Eternals. He starred alongside Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek in the flick which has gained him the status of international heartthrob.
In recent years his part in The Banshees of Inisherin alongside Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell gained him further worldwide success as well a nomination for a Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars. He won a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role that year for the same movie.
But it was Saltburn in 2023 that grabbed people's attention - all we will say is bathwater and Sophie Ellis Bextor's Murder on the DanceFloor.
In 2022 he welcomed his first child, a son Brando with now ex Alyson Sandro. The actor then dated American singer Sabrina Carpenter but they've since parted ways.
Johnny Ward - Paulie Lawles
Another character who wasn't the most likable was Paulie played by Johnny Ward. He's best known for his role as Ciaran Holloway in Fair City.
He's also showed off his vocal chops on stage in Coppers: The Musical. The actor won over the nation when he took to the dancefloor on Dancing with the Stars in 2019.
A big fan of Panto the Dublin man has starred in several productions and of course tied the knot with girlfriend Brenda Murphy.
The couple met during lockdown and have gone from strength to strength ever since and now they're husband and wife.
