Eurovision 2025 is set to dazzle but who are the hosts who will be leading the unforgettable week of music? Eurovision is back and everyone's buzzing about who will take the reins during this weekend's grand final. Switzerland is riding high on last year's victory, bringing the Eurovision Song Contest to Basel's St Jakobshalle, where 26 hopeful nations will vie for the coveted title of Eurovision champions. As tradition dictates, hosts from the winning country will steer the ship, and fans are itching to get the lowdown on the star-studded trio lined up to present the international spectacle. This year's Eurovision Song Contest grand final will be graced by an all-female trio: Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer at the helm. However, for the semi-finals on Tuesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 15, it'll be just Brugger and Studer who light up the stage. Leading the pack of Eurovision 2025 hosts is the critically acclaimed comedian and presenter Hazel Brugger. A US native, she was raised near Zurich and has since settled in Germany's Darmstadt region. Brugger boasts a trophy cabinet featuring the Salzburg Bull, a Swiss Comedy Award, a German Comedy Award, and has been crowned the "queen of wit" by the German Kleinkunstpreis jury. Dubbed "one of Europe's most beloved entertainers" by the Eurovision Song Contest itself, Hunziker is famed for her roles on various German and Italian TV shows. The accomplished TV personalities who have been roped in to present the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 are not new to the spotlight. Their collective experience boasts an array of popular European TV shows, including Wetten, dass...?, Striscia la Notizia, and the prestigious Festival di Sanremo. Finishing off the trio is Sandra Studer, whose connection with the Eurovision Song Contest runs deep as she participated in the international singing competition herself back in 1991. Performing under the stage name Sandra Simo, she represented Sweden with the song Canzone Per Te, securing a commendable fifth place. Since her Eurovision debut, Studer has diversified her career, working as a presenter, actress, and singer. Her involvement with the Eurovision Song Contest has continued, with roles such as hosting the national pre-selection, serving as a spokesperson, and providing commentary. Speaking about their decision on hosts, Moritz Stadler and Reto Peritz, the co-executive producers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, emphasized: "For the world's biggest show, it was important for us to recruit hosts who bring more than just presenting skills – Hazel, Sandra, and Michelle bring unique versatility with additional talents such as comedy, dance and singing. "We are incredibly proud to have signed such impressive and diverse women as hosts." The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest's grand final will air on Saturday, May 17, at 8 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
