MIKEL ARTETA brought a familiar name with him from Manchester City for his backroom staff.
In the summer of 2021, former City No 2 Arteta raided his old side for colleague Nicolas Jover.
Jover has been the centre of attention recently, as the Gunners have scored the most goals from set pieces this season.
Who is Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover?
Nicolas Jover is a 43-year-old football manager and analyst, born in Berlin.
His current role is as Arsenal's set-piece coach.
Arsenal brought in Jover after he spent two years at the Etihad following a successful spell with Thomas Frank at Brentford.
Jover departed the Citizens in the summer of 2021 when his contract expired in June of that year.
He worked with Arteta in the same role as the set-piece coach as part of Pep Guardiola's coaching staff.
Arteta had said on adding his set-piece coach: "It's a crucial part of the game nowadays.
"It's something you have to dominate and master and we are in that process."
What happened with Declan Rice?
Declan Rice scored two sensational free-kicks for the Gunners against Real Madrid.
His two goals helped guide Arsenal to a 3-0 win over the Spanish side in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
In replays of the goal, Jover could be seen telling Rice to bend the ball.
