Eve Jobs, daughter of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Laurene Powell, is all set to tie the knot with Olympic equestrian Harry Charles later this week in a wedding that’s making headlines for its sheer extravagance. Estimated to cost a staggering $6.7 million (around ₹58 crore), the ceremony is being billed as one of the grandest celebrity weddings of the year, according to the New York Post.
The couple will exchange vows at a picturesque rural location, with a star-studded guest list including former US Vice President Kamala Harris. Other notable attendees expected include Microsoft heirs Jennifer and Phoebe Gates, Princess Beatrice, and Jessica Springsteen, with music legend Elton John performing at the event.
Eve Jobs and Harry Charles made their relationship public during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Charles was competing as a show-jumper.
Who Is Eve Jobs?
Born in 1998, Eve is the youngest daughter of Steve Jobs and a fashion model by profession. She graduated from Stanford University and trained in horse riding at Upper Echelon Academy in Wellington, Florida. By 2019, she had achieved global recognition, ranking as the fifth best rider in the world among competitors under 25.
At 22, Eve debuted as a model in the Glossier Holiday Campaign and later walked for Parisian fashion label Coperni in 2021. She has also appeared on the cover of Vogue Japan and was a key figure in a major Louis Vuitton campaign.
Who Is Harry Charles?
Harry Charles, aged 26, is a distinguished equestrian who helped Great Britain secure the gold medal in the team show jumping event at the Paris Olympics 2024, mirroring the achievement of his father, Peter Charles, in 2012.
Harry Charles publicly revealed his relationship with Eve Jobs after winning the medal and celebrating with her. Although he withdrew from the individual show jumping final due to his horse’s poor health, his contribution was significant as he and his teammates clinched the first gold medal for Team Great Britain in this sport since 2012.
Children Of Icons, Stars In Their Own Right
Both Eve and Harry are well-acquainted with fame, being the children of notable personalities. Eve is the daughter of the late Steve Jobs, while Harry’s father is the renowned British equestrian Peter Charles. He won gold for Team Great Britain in show jumping at the 2012 London Olympics.
A rising star in the world of equestrian sports, Harry is also a brand ambassador for several luxury labels. In 2019, he became the youngest athlete to join the ranks of Rolex Testimonees, reflecting the growing synergy between sports and high fashion.
How Horse Riding Shaped Eve Jobs
Eve, who had initially planned to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, withdrew after the Games were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a 2016 interview, she spoke about how horse riding shaped her character. “Horse riding always keeps you grounded. While it’s rewarding to see the results of your hard work, you constantly have to stay at the top of your game. It has taught me independence, dedication, and perseverance, qualities I carry into every aspect of my life,” she said.
