Now back on the course for the Tour Championship, Scott shared more context in an emotional Instagram video. “Many of you know that I left the St. Jude Classic early... because we had a devastating family emergency, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever walked through in my entire life,” Scott said. While he did not reveal the nature of Joel’s injury, he confirmed that Joel is in recovery and thanked supporters for their prayers and encouragement. Scottie Scheffler, who won the BMW Championship with a temporary stand-in caddie, previously said that Scott was “where he needed to be.” His return to the bag this weekend was welcomed by both Scheffler and fans.
