There have been reports of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi teaming up at this summer's FIFA Club World Cup.
Fans worldwide have long been fascinated by the prospect of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing on the same team.
With the Club World Cup on the horizon this summer, rumors have been swirling about a potential link-up between the two soccer legends.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on these speculations, labeling a possible Ronaldo-Messi team-up as "wide of the mark."
According to Romano, the Portugal captain will not be joining Messi's Inter Miami on a short-term deal.
Ronaldo's current contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire at the end of the season, but it's expected that the 40-year-old will extend his stay in the Middle East rather than linking up with his longtime rival Messi in Miami.
Since joining Al-Nassr from Manchester United in 2023, CR7 has been in remarkable form, scoring 86 goals and providing 19 assists in just 97 appearances.
With the Club World Cup prize money set to hit a record-breaking $1 billion, the likes of Messi, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe will be eager to lead their clubs to victory in the United States this summer.
