A woman was battered with a golf club amidst a terrifying sword fight in Glasgow. The horrifying incident unfolded in broad daylight and in plain sight of residents on Elliston Road in the Priesthill area of the city last week. Shocking video footage shows the woman attempting to flee the scene before she is smacked across the body by what is believed to be a man wielding a golf club. In the clip, which has been shared with the Record , the victim is seen hitting the ground as a stunned onlooker is heard saying: "He's going to hit that lassie, he's just hit her with a golf club. F*** sake." As the woman lay injured on the ground, the assailant was filmed running away. The attack on the woman came just moments after a terrifying duel broke out on the street between rival gangs on Friday, April 11. Gut-wrenching footage shows violence erupting in full view of homes in the south of the city as four males chased one another with what is believed to be machetes. In the clip, two gangs were seen confronting one another in the middle of the road before a car rapidly reversed around a corner. Two males were then filmed chasing another pair as the blades were furiously flung in the air causing a number of near-misses. During the chaos, one of the mobsters fall to the ground. As he crashed to the floor, one of the knife-wielding thugs was seen charging towards him. The male then jumped to his feet before fleeing and ultimately falling again. But on that occasion, an assailant managed to catch him before striking the blade into the side of his body as he lay on the ground. An ally quickly moved in and pounced on the attacker , bringing a brief halt to the violence. But as the group split, the assailant was filmed again chasing two opposing males with the sizeable blade before being pursued by another male, who was also wielding a knife . He then crashed to the ground before suffering a number of blows to his body. Eventually, two males ended up scuffling on the road before one fled the estate. As he ran, he was pursued by another male in possession of a knife . A brief duel then took place before one of the participants ran away again. As the violence ended, another male was spotted standing in the middle of the street holding the blade up in the air. Another clip shows the area taped off by police moments later. The injuries caused to those involved in the chaos is currently unknown. Last night, police said those responsible were still at-large . Cops say that despite extensive inquiries being carried out, none of the men have been traced. The force has appealed to those with any information surrounding the blade attack to come forward. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 6.45pm on Friday, 11 April, 2025 we were called to a report of a disturbance in the Elliston Road area of Glasgow . "Officers attended however there was nothing going on at the time. Extensive enquiries were carried out but the men have not yet been traced.
