The New York Yankees' losing streak finally came to an end, as they beat the Los Angeles Angels, 7-3, on Tuesday. Thanks to a quality start from Carlos Rodon and two home runs, the Yankees put an end to their nightmare six-game losing skid.
Rodon struck out seven batters in exactly six innings pitched, improving his record to 9-5. This comes after Rodon lost his last two starts, both to the Boston Red Sox, including one at the beginning of the losing streak.
Trailing 2-1, two Yankees slugged home runs in the bottom of the second inning to get New York out in front.
First, Trent Grisham crushed his 14th home run of the year into the stands in right field. His home run came with a runner on base and gave the Yankees a 3-2 advantage.
