ANDREW PORTER and wife Elaine celebrated the imminent birth of their baby boy during a "perfect" Mother's Day bash. The mum and dad-to-be hosted a gorgeous baby shower on Mother's Day, complete with balloons spelling out the word: "Boy". They were surrounded by friends and family, with pastries including muffins with blue frosting supplied as catering on the day. Elaine - who announced her pregnancy back in January - shared a host of photos from the emotional day, calling it: "Perfect perfect perfect ✨💙" The comments were full of well-wishers celebrating their impending parenthood. Julie said: "Fantastic photos 🥰 you look stunning 🤗 great excitement 💙" Maria Porter said: "Thanks so much for such a lovely day ❤️❤️ The future Master P is going to be so so lucky to have you both as parents." A third follower said: "you are glowing oh my god 💘" Leonie said: "Gorgeous. Wishing you the very best of luck from one mama-to-be to anyother 💙" Tara commented: "What a gorgeous day 🫶🏼 The countdown is on 👶🏻💙" Emma posted: "Oh you look beautiful ❤️❤️❤️" They had preceded the Mother's Day celebrations with a "babymoon" trip to Adare Manor a couple of weeks ago. The resort is owned by JP McManus - the Irish billionaire owner of Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin. Adare Manor is also the host of the Horizon Irish Open. This explains why, in a host of pics shared to Instagram by Elaine, one featured a cappuccino with custom golfing chocolate dusting. And there were several photos of Elaine proudly boasting her baby bump. Just last year, Elaine had revealed that she had experienced miscarriage heartbreak. She was responding to US Vice President JD Vance's vile 2021 claim that the Democratic Party was run by "childless cat ladies". Taking to Instagram, she said: "As someone who has experienced a miscarriage this is absolutely disgusting, women are SO much more than their ability to give birth. Vile." In a follow-up post she thanked everyone who reached out to show sympathy and solidarity for sharing such a harrowing ordeal in order to underline her point that men such as Vance should have no say in what women choose to do around pregnancy and abortion. She said: "Thank you for so much love on my story. "Sharing that I’ve had a miscarriage is absolutely never something I thought I’d share on my Instagram. "But I thought it was so important to speak out against small-minded men who think they have a say on women’s bodies and choices. "So many messages coming through of people in similar positions and I’m so sorry to anyone who has experienced the same, sending love." The revelation sparked widespread support from fans, with rugby star husband Andrew paying tribute a few days later. He said: "So proud of my wife @elainecporter for being so open about our recent miscarriage. "Her braveness and strength through these tough last few weeks has astounded me. "Not something I would usually share on this platform about our private life. But as we now know it is something very common and affects so many people. "Certain life events like this are distressing and can have huge toll on mental health. But we are staying positive for what lies ahead in our future together. "For anyone else going through this, remember you are not alone and things will get better."
