AN IRELAND AM guest made a witty remark on air after Alan Hughes' cheeky comments.
The Virgin Media star returned on air this morning for a fun-filled episode of the hit breakfast show with Tommy Bowe and Muireann O'Connell.
And baker Corinna Camerino joined the presenters on set in the Virgin Media studio to cook up a storm.
Teasing the cooking segment, Tommy said: "Now Alan is in the kitchen. What's on the menu, Alan?"
The Ballyfermot native replied: "I am indeed. Tommy, how's your buns?"
The former rugby star was surprised by the question and he stuttered as he answered: "Eh... they're tasty."
Alan went on to say: "Because we've got something fluffy and good baking in the kitchen this morning. Yes, we're doing lovely buns."
The celebrity baker replied: "Yes, yes, I have some buns as well. They are here and they are sour cream Cardamom buns."
She quickly added: "G-rated sour cream cardamom buns."
Alan looked puzzled as he asked: "What's G-rated?"
Corinna said: "It's for general population. It's no like, no sexy puns about buns. G-rated."
Alan was in fits of laughter at her hit back and said: "You've told me, girl. You've told me!"
During yesterday's show, Tommy and Muireann ventured outside the studio to the car park to speak with some members of the Irish Dodgeball team.
Ireland is hosting the European Dodgeball Championships at the University Sports Arena in Limerick this month.
After speaking about the event, Tommy and Muireann got to join the players in a quick game of dodgeball.
And the former rugby player's competitiveness came out as he gave the game his all.
Tommy flung one of the balls at Muireann and it knocked her straight in the head.
Muireann shouted out, "Ah", after the ball bounced off her and was left in stitches as she panned to the camera crew and asked: "Did you get that?"
One of the players remarked: "He's really going for you, isn't he?"
Tommy justified his actions saying: "It's not that sore, I swear."
He added: "I'm going to get in trouble."
