Thomas Frank has revealed that Yves Bissouma missed Tottenham’s Premier League opener after picking up an injury in training on Friday. Spurs opened their campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Burnley at Hotspur Stadium, but Bissouma was a surprise absence from Frank’s matchday squad. Speaking at full-time, Frank revealed the player had picked up a knock in training, but that the extent of the issue was not yet known. He said: “Unfortunately he got injured in training yesterday so very unfortunate.
