From Paul Orude, Bauchi
Zabgai International Football Club, Bauchi, has sacked Coach Abubakar Hassan and his technical team for failing to meet performance expectations. The decision was announced in a letter signed by club chairman Sirajo Shehu, addressed to the coach.
“Regrettably, the performance expectation here was not met, and as a result, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship and coaching career with you and your technical team,” the statement read.
Shehu directed Hassan to return all club property, including balls and jerseys, to the team manager.
The club expressed appreciation for Hassan’s efforts during his tenure, stating, “We appreciate the effort you have made during your time at Zabgai International Football Club and wish you the best in your future endeavours.”
No specific details on the team’s performance issues were disclosed.
