Conte's comments came after Napoli's 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Sunday, which kept them just one point behind Serie A leaders Inter with 10 rounds left to play.
What Conte said
Conte also defended his decision to switch from a 4-3-3 formation to a 3-5-2 system following the departure of star player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and injury to David Neres.

"You are making what the team is doing seem normal when it really isn't," Conte said in his post-match press conference via Italia football.
He continued, "I have to underline that: this is not normal. There are big players injured, you say it's normal, the most talented player leaves, it's normal. The lads are doing something extraordinary here."
"The lads are doing great work in finding alternative solutions," Conte said. "Next time, please, trust me and let me get on with it without telling me to play 4-3-3 or something else."
Conte urged the media to have faith in him and his team, saying: "So have faith in me, this is a group that has overcome difficulties and will continue to do so, giving a great response and covering the gaps."
Despite Conte's attempts to downplay Napoli's Scudetto chances, the team's fans are increasingly optimistic about their prospects.
"In all honesty, the atmosphere today moved me and that doesn't happen often. This fills us with joy. The people of Naples are very demanding, but at the same time they give you so much too."
"That would be the greatest victory for me and the lads. The fans always believed and we must continue believing too," Conte said.
Napoli are second on the log with 60 points from 28 games.
