Zimbabwe head coach, Michael Nees, has revealed that his team were delayed and lost some couple of hours ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on Tuesday. Nees said this while disclosing that his team faced some travel disruptions as their flight was cancelled. The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday evening. Eric Chelle's side head to the game following a 2-0 win against Rwanda in Kigali in their last game. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, arrived in Nigeria on Saturday afternoon following a 2-2 draw with Benin Republic in their last game. Nees's side had their first training session on Sunday in Uyo ahead of their clash with Nigeria. Speaking to the Warriors media team after the training session, Nees also revealed that his team has settled in. "The hotel is fine, we have settled in," Nees said. "We were delayed yesterday because our flight was cancelled, so we lost a couple of hours."
