Abbey Clancy has candidly revealed that she and her husband Peter Crouch are living "separate lives" after 14 years of wedded bliss, yet she insists it's the happiest she has ever been.
The Liverpool-born model and the former England striker are one of the football world's most beloved couples, having first met two decades ago, celebrated their wedding in 2011, and now share the joy of raising four children together.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Abbey couldn't help but express her delight in sharing every aspect of life with Peter, including co-hosting their podcast The Therapy Crouch, and she emphatically stated she "doesn't need space" from her other half.
But in a light-hearted twist during a recent podcast episode, Abbey playfully remarked on the couple's time spent pursuing individual interests, which seemed to contrast their united front. Peter chimed in, highlighting the importance of such moments for sustaining "a healthy relationship".
The conversation took a humorous turn when Peter recounted his experience of playing golf in the recent bout of warm weather, while Abbey had been horse riding.
"I actually played golf the other day and it was like, I took my jumper off and put on the T-shirt," he shared. "For me, that's groundbreaking. It really is, because I've been through some s**t this year. I've been out there in f*****g all sorts of weather. And for me to just put that T-shirt on, it's just phenomenal."
Abbey, never one to miss a beat with her sharp wit, responded: "I can't listen to this anymore. This golf stuff." Peter then added: "It's just so nice to play in the sun."
Abbey then jokingly remarked about the couple's routine: "We live separate lives now. He goes to golf and I go horse riding, and then we meet at the end."
Peter then clarified: "I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Like, not every day, because we need to do stuff together as well. But I think some part of the week, I think that's a totally healthy relationship."
Abbey then concluded: "It is, because I've never been happier."
Moving past the lighthearted remarks, Abbey shared insights into her fitness journey as she said she wanted to achieve "a sensational body" this summer.
"I ride for like over an hour, just over an hour, because I'm building up my fitness, because since skiing, I had that bug," she explained. "My chest is still not 100%. And it's taking time. I need to fit in the gym as well because it's a different type of fitness. I was doing my bingo wing exercise today."
Peter couldn't help but marvel at Abbey's exercises, adding: "I caught Ab doing a bingo wing exercise. Would you like to do it? You could do it like Jane Fonda! I caught her doing it, and I said, 'what's that?' And she said, 'this tones your bingo wings'."
Abbey then elaborated: "So I've got this exercise. So you go like, you have to push. You push your arms back. Put your thumbs far down, and you can feel the tension in that muscle.
"And then if you do it the other way, you can feel the tension in your bicep, and it just tightens everything. So if you do that for like 10 minutes, and your arms are on fire... You have to push. The improvement in my arms has been incredible.
"I want to have a sensational body this summer. Because every year, I start my beach body three days before I go away. I want to turn up on it."
Peter then revealed his own fitness routine, saying he often likes to keep fit by going swimming. This prompted Abbey to respond: "He still hasn't shown me these shorts that he bought!"
