Algiers, August 09 (QNA) - Algeria on Saturday condemned the Israeli entity's plans to militarily reoccupy the Gaza Strip and forcibly displace Gazans.
It considered this move as a blatant challenge to the will of the international community and its decisions, after a few days of the convention of the International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.
Following a few days of the convention of this conference, which reiterated the international community's conviction that such a solution is the only framework to have a just, enduring, and final settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, however, the de facto occupying power once again proves its indifference to the international will and decisions and plans to reoccupy the Gaza Strip militarily and forcibly displace the Gazans, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The statement added that such Israeli plans hold hostage the future of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian statehood, and the future of peace in the entire region.
The Gaza Strip is part and parcel of the occupied Palestinian territories, and the Palestinian statehood as recognized by international legitimacy and demanded by the international group, the statement underlined.
It called upon the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to uphold its responsibility to put an end to these Israeli plans and the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
The statement further stressed that the establishment of the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital represents a historic, inalienable right that is neither subject to expiration nor open to compromise. (QNA)
