Finally, Barbadians can now access all of the services offered by the Barbados Licensing Authority under one roof.
The move is intended, in part, to eliminate the lengthy wait times members of the public have been complaining about for a long time.
Registering imported vehicles and completing all vehicle registration services can now also be done on the same day, streamlining what was once a multi-day process.
The issuance of garage plates, individual temporary plates, and the processing of vehicle declarations can also be done at this single location, saving time and making it easier for customers to comply with regulations.
This is possible through the disabled-friendly Barbados Licensing Authority Customer Service Centre, launched this afternoon.
Addressing the proceedings, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works, Santia Bradshaw, said the centre is directly connected with the Barbados Revenue Authority, allowing customers to complete licensing services and immediately proceed to make payments without leaving the building.
The Deputy Prime Minister also announced that the BLA is introducing a new driving licence management system.
