Adeo Alston-Ekpei has not been seen for more than a month. Police have been tirelessly searching - and following up on multiple lines of enquiry - since he was last seen on May 16, to no avail. Detectives investigating his disappearance are desperate for new leads and sightings of the 25-year-old. New details have emerged revealing that Adeo was last seen having visited the grounds of Cheadle Cricket Club before walking back up Kingsway towards Gatley Road the evening he disappeared. He was said to have been in a 'very vulnerable state' and may have been seen acting 'erratically'. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , Detective Inspector Kelly, the lead on the case, said 'extensive' underwater searches of the River Mersey have been carried out in the 32 days following his disappearance, from Manchester Road to Fletcher Moss and Northenden Weir. Ground searches with dogs and specialist search teams have also been carried out across the wider area. including in residential areas and large parks and areas of overgrowth. Police are not ruling out the possibility Adeo may also be 'living off-grid'. Detectives have also revealed how Adeo last had a call with his mum on the evening he disappeared before his phone battery ran out, meaning no further locations or usage of the device could be monitored. He has not accessed his bank account since. "Our work has been intense," Det Kelly said. "We are getting up to the 32nd day of Adeo being missing now, and we've carried out underwater searches, searches over a significant area with our Tactical Aid unit. "I can't tell you how many doors we've knocked on and how many CCTV enquiries there have been. It seems like it's been endless, but we've been working on it tirelessly. We have told his family we are committed to finding out where he is. "As time passes by, there's always those who will speculate to what may have happened. But at this moment in time, we know that potentially Adeo may have chosen to live off grid. There is that potential. "We don't want people to be drawn into that temptation of thinking that Adeo has died. There is the prospect there are other avenues and that he could've gathered his thoughts." On May 16, Adeo had visited Fletcher Moss Park in Didsbury at around 3pm, before later being seen walking down Kingsway, away from Manchester, close to the River Mersey, at around 5.20pm that same day. He was then captured on CCTV footage entering the grounds at Cheadle Cricket Club for a short while where he was seen behaving in a 'manic and distressed' manner before then walking back up Kingsway towards Gatley Road at around 6pm. Police are now continuing to urge anyone in the area to come forward, with many other leads exhausted, in the hope of building a picture of his next movements. "We want Adeo to remain in public consciousness and we want people to still think about what they were doing on that day he went missing, because there is still valuable information that we can capture, which will come from motorists and people passing the area, whether that be cyclists or pedestrians," Detective Kelly said. "It's a busy area and it was a warm day. He had his top off and he's very distinctive looking. We know there will still be people who can offer information. "We don't want Adeo to be forgotten about and want this appeal to continue. Whilst we are getting to the stage where the information we have is running dry, we know we need more information and intelligence to strengthen that approach and where we will need to search next. "Without the general public and without people getting in touch with what they saw on that day, it's incredibly difficult to know what to do next." CCTV enquiries revealed how Adeo walked back up Kingsway in the direction of Manchester before reaching the junction with Gatley Road. From there, footage indicated he crossed the busy main road and cut through traffic. "That's important, because traffic backs up there. There's no real point where you can get across before you hit the River Mersey. It was 6pm on a Friday, so someone must have seen him and we just need that individual to reach out to us so we can build on the enquiries we have made already." Adeo, who lives in Levenshulme, is mixed-race and has long curly black hair, and a long singular dreadlock, with bleached eyebrows. He has a cupid’s bow piercing and a right eyebrow piercing. He also has an ‘AKA’ tattoo on his right wrist and a ‘24’ tattoo in the right side of his chest. He was last seen wearing long blue denim shorts, an undone green short-sleeved button-up shirt, and white Adidas trainers. It is believed by the time he had walked back up Kingsway on the night he vanished, he was topless. Making a direct appeal to Adeo to get in touch, his family previously said: “‘We are all deeply worried for his safety. “Adeo is kind, funny, intelligent, and has a huge heart - but he wasn’t himself when he disappeared. He may have come across as agitated, lost, or confused. In his last call to his mum, he was in a very vulnerable state. If you’ve seen him or know anything, please contact the police. “Adeo, if you see this - please call us. Your friends are looking for you, we love you and just want you home." Speaking to the Manchester Evneing News, his dad Kema said: "People are needing to remember someone they saw five weeks ago. You would've noticed seeing someone in baggy shorts and with no top and curly hair, running or walking erratically. "Myself and his mum, but also his grandpa and grandma need to know he's okay, because they're really struggling. He had no cash on the day he went missing and has not accessed his bank account. He's resourceful, but it's hard for anyone to manage for this long with no other sightings of him." If you have any information regarding Adeo’s whereabouts, please contact South Manchester CID directly on 0161 856 6051 or 0161 856 6063.
