Anaheim Hills briefs: Play Bingo and support the Ebell Club’s philanthropy

The Ebell Club of Canyon Hills will host a Bingo fundraiser on March 26 at The Hive and the community is invited to participate in this special event.
Second Vice Presidents Ways and Means Yolanda Narvaez and Jean Rico are organizing the fun evening, which also includes opportunities to purchase raffle tickets for chances to win exciting gift baskets. The $25 entry includes 10 bingo cards. In addition to raffle tickets, food and beverages will also be available for purchase that evening.
Ticket sales begin at 5:30 p.m., with Bingo starting at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit various community and philanthropic organizations supported by the nonprofit Ebell Club. Some of this year’s organizations include OC Rescue Mission, Joanie’s Purse Project, Mary’s Kitchen, Canyon High School Curriculum Enrichment, Patriots and Paws, Our Nation’s Heroes and the Pasadena Humane Society.

Help Marines and their family have Easter fun
An Easter basket and gift card drive is being sponsored by Patriots 4 Pendleton, benefitting the Marine units at Camp Pendleton supported by the nonprofit organization.
Donations of wrapped Easter baskets for the young children of the Marines stationed at the base, as well as $20 gift cards for teens and $25 gift card for the single Marines on base, are being collected by the April 8 deadline.

Get an early look at a new script
The Chance Theater is presenting a one-night-only staged reading of “Pyro: How to Blow Up a Life” at 7:30 p.m. on April 2.
This special reading is part of the theater’s On-the-Radar New Works Program, which features a new script reading series, a playwright’s residency and a commissioning program, all of which are in support of creating diverse new stories from rising U.S. playwrights.

Guild has CHOC support in the bag
Members of the Littlest Angel Guild have dedicated themselves to supporting the Children’s Hospital of Orange County through volunteering and fundraising. This year’s Pursenally Yours fundraiser, themed “Cheers to 60 Years,” celebrates both its six decades of serving the children at CHOC and the Littlest Angel Guild’s 20th annual signature event.
The fundraiser is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 5 at the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum in Yorba Linda and tickets are on sale now.
The fundraiser features a silent auction of fabulous designer, vintage and gently loved purses, as well as themed gift baskets and a live auction for exciting items, trips and fun experiences. Grab bags and opportunity drawings — including a Diamond Jubilee Jewelry opportunity drawing to win one of three exquisite pieces of jewelry designed and donated by Jewelers Touch, Mandel Jewelers and Anaheim Hills Gold Mine.
Tickets are $125 per person, which includes a gourmet luncheon by White House Catering and complimentary valet parking. Proceeds benefit the CHOC Heart Institute and CHOC Resident Dog and Pet Therapy programs. Seating is limited. Visit littlestangelguild.com for tickets or additional information.
Women’s Connection plans luncheon fun
The Anaheim, Orange and Villa Park Women’s Connection is extending an invitation to all women in the community to attend its luncheon with a fun Easter hat parade and contest planned on April 14 at the Black Gold Golf Club.
Guests are encouraged to wear a favorite hat and be part of the hat parade. Prizes will be awarded for most unique, funniest and most glamorous hats to add to the fun.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for socializing and shopping with onsite vendors. Luncheon and program follow at 11:30 a.m.
