Asda shoppers furious after spotting unlikely chocolate bar on shelves

Asda shoppers are scratching their heads after spotting an unlikely Cadbury chocolate bar on the shelves. Legendary British chocolatier Cadbury is a firm favourite among many people, with an enduring legacy spanning generations . Founded in 1824, the company went on to become one of the most famous confectionery brands in the world with many of its products instantly recognisable. The classic Dairy Milk is a staple and now boasts a number of spin-off flavour combinations, adding to its allure. Like many companies, Cadbury often releases themed products around certain major calendar events like Christmas and Easter. Asda shoppers were stunned, however, after spotting a festive favourite already on the shelves, despite Christmas still being 155 days away . The supermarket - which sells necessities including food, cleaning products, baby care items and more, as well as its on-trend homeware, clothing, and limited edition releases - is already stocking Cadbury’s beloved Mini Snowballs bar. The bar is a festive iteration of the Dairy Milk, made of smooth milk chocolate and packed with mini ‘snowball’ pieces. Popular food and snack account New Foods UK took to Instagram to share an image of the chocolate bar after it was seen in Asda stores. The account, which boasts 373K followers, is a go-to resource for food fans thanks to its regular photo and video postings showcasing the newest food items spotted in supermarkets and other stores up and down the country. Its posts often prompt a flurry of comments from people keen to share their thoughts and opinions on featured items - and the arrival of a Christmas-themed product for sale in July has caused quite a stir. In the caption, New Foods UK penned: “Giant Cadbury Snowball Bars spotted today at [Asda] [laughing emoji] Happy Christmas!” In the comments section, one person said: “These are my favourites although it's a little bit early even for me.” Another simply observed: “Christmas in July for chocolate now.” A third expressed their disdain for Christmas in general: “Christmas every year is ridiculous. It should be like the Olympics, where we celebrate every 4 years.” Another commented: “This? In the middle of July?” Another chocolate fan, happy to see the festive sweet treat up for sale, simply added: “Yes yes yes”. Cadbury is operational in 50 countries across the globe, with some of its most beloved products including the Dairy Milk, its festive Roses selection tins which come out every winter and the iconic Creme Egg, which typically appears in January and is sold until Easter. If you’re eager to snap up a bar of Cadbury Mini Snowballs, visit your nearest Asda store .
