Aston Villa can seal €5m full-back transfer after club make plan for him to leave

Aston Villa have been given the green light to complete the signing of Barcelona full-back Hector Fort, after the Catalans reportedly planned for the defender to leave the club in this summer transfer window.
Teenager Fort has been cleared to depart the Blaugrana as manager Hansi Flick considers the existing options of Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo and Marc Casado as sufficient depth at right-back and Fort will be permitted to leave for a fee of €5m, although Villa aren't the only side interested.
According to reports in Spain, via Sport Witness, Fort has interest from Mallorca and Paris FC, but he himself favours a move to England and to Villa, where he'd be working under compatriot Unai Emery, with who he shares the same agent, and that Villa's president of football operations Monchi is working on a deal.
Fort has reportedly been told by new teammate and former Villa loanee Marcus Rashford that he should prioritise game time at this stage and should consider leaving in order to secure regular minutes elsewhere. He played 20 times last season, with 17 of those appearances coming in La Liga.
Villa themselves already have Matty Cash and Andres Garcia at right-back, although Kosta Nedeljkovic - who they signed three transfer windows ago - has been loaned back out to German side RB Leipzig.
