The total package is expected to be worth €21 million, with €17 million up front and €4 million in bonuses. Southampton will also retain a 15% sell-on clause. Sulemana, who joined the Saints from Stade Rennes in January 2023 for €25 million, is seen as a key addition by new Atalanta boss Ivan Juric. The pair briefly worked together during Juric’s stint in England, and now they could reunite in Serie A. Despite a modest return of two goals and three assists across 30 appearances for Southampton this past season, Sulemana remains a highly rated talent with room to grow. His arrival comes as Atalanta reshape their squad under Juric following Gian Piero Gasperini’s departure after nine years in charge. Atalanta, however, are holding out for at least €60 million.
