As one of track and field's favorite couples, Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles and Jamaican Olympic bronze medalist Junelle Bromfield graced Essence with stunning photos ahead of their wedding. Track power couple Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield were all shades of gorgeous in their new photos for Essence, showcasing the theme - Black Love. The lovebirds who got engaged in October 2024 and are planning a 'melanin-themed' wedding for spring 2026, graced Essence with stunning shoots in preparation for their highly anticipated big occasion next year. Dressed in a raisin burgundy luxe satin slit dress, Bromfield blossomed in her beauty as the dress matched perfectly with her melanin skin colour, while Lyles shone in a vintage road-tailored olive green suit. Both posted the captivating photos simultaneously on their social media platforms with the caption: "Black love. Bold love. God-ordained love. No finish line, just forever. 💍🔥#OnTrackToForever.” In April, the couple revealed some details of their upcoming wedding in an exclusive interview with The Knot - their first magazine cover appearance. Bromfield stated she'd love for Jamaicans to be in charge of everything about her look on the day. "I'm trying to get like, like, as much Jamaicans involved as possible. So my makeup artist can be Jamaican or from the Caribbean, got my dress Jamaican, everything." On the wedding theme, the two-time Olympian said it'll be all shades of melanin and intends to inspire Jamaican children with it. "The theme of the wedding is All Things Melanin, All Shades Melanin," she said. "I wanted everybody in the wedding to be all shades of melanin, not just the bridal party because I love my skin complexion. I love my hair, I love everything about being black," Bromfield added. "I want black children out there in Jamaica to know that they're beautiful, and they need to know to love themselves. And no matter what people say, only the people around them matter," she concluded. Both champions in their rights, Lyles is the reigning world's fastest man after winning the 100m gold at the Paris Olympics, in addition to his 2023 world title. Bromfield is also an established Jamaican 400m athlete, a two-time Olympian, and a medalist at both the Olympics and World Championships.
