Dubai: Blackpink members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have come under fire after a leaked pre-debut video allegedly shows them singing along to a track containing the N-word. The footage, which has since gone viral, was posted by a Discord user operating under the alias YG Leaker, who claims to be a former employee of YG Entertainment.According to reports, YG Leaker not only shared the controversial clip but also alleges to have access to a trove of unreleased data involving artists from YG and other South Korean entertainment agencies. The user has cited personal grievances as motivation for the leak, stating, “Doing all this because I got fired. I hate the whole company. It's full of mobbing, racism and sexism.”While Blackpink’s agency has yet to comment officially on the issue, the backlash has been swift on social media. Fans expressed particular disappointment with Jennie and Rosé, who are both fluent English speakers. One user commented, “Out of all the songs, them saying ones with [the] N-word and being fluent in English is nuts… like it’s definitely a choice.”The leak has sparked widespread discussion about the training environment at YG Entertainment and the accountability of global idols when it comes to sensitive racial issues. The identity of YG Leaker remains unverified, but the user claims more damaging content is on the way, potentially involving other big-name K-pop idols.YG Entertainment, founded in 1996 by Yang Hyun-suk, is one of South Korea’s top entertainment powerhouses and a key player in the global K-pop industry.
