In February, Cunha signed a contract extension until June 2029, which contains a release clause. The board rewarded the 25-year-old with a significant wage rise after an impressive 18 months at Molineux. He is said to have a £62.5million release clause, which will be active in the summer.
Now, though, Tottenham have received a boost in its hunt for Cunha’s signature. In an exclusive interview with The Guardian, Cunha has said that he is ready to “take the next step in his career”. This perhaps suggests that the 2021 Olympics football gold medallist wants to leave Wolves for a new adventure.
Guehi has been with Wolves since arriving from Atletico Madrid in January 2023. A firm favourite at Molineux, he has been a true-blue entertainer for the Premier League viewers thanks to his Samba flair, flicks and tricks, vision, dribbling, and ability to create chances and score goals. As a result, he will also be a perfect fit for Ange Postecoglou’s system, enhancing the overall attacking unit and depth of the squad.
